Guided Horse Trek 9.30 am start at Marainanga Station woodshed. There is plenty of parking and fresh water troughs. We estimate the trek to take no longer than five hours and is between 20 and 25 kms long. The horse trek will be on a different course to the walkers and runners.

Note: We are still working on the finer details of the horse trek course and we will have the final details over the next few weeks. The trek will be a diverse range of contour but on good farm tracks taking in some spectacular views on private farmland.

Star Times for the Walk/Run is 9.30am and they will be staggered starting with the long run, short run, long walk and short walk, there will be at least a few minutes between each start. Please be ready and listen at the briefing for your instructions and listen to the course details to be able to start.

Marshalls:
Marshalls will be at location points where the course needs to spilt for different distances plus more stops to make sure that they are all on the right track. They will be in side by sides and carrying RT's to get participators out if need be and are there to help volunteer. These people are a wealth of info about the area and love a friendly chat .

Course Marking:
The course will be marked with bright orange triangles and orange flags on standards.

Refunds and Transfers:
There are no refunds and transfers once entered.

General Information
The tracks are one private farmland, please be respectful and do not litter. Sweepers will follow close to the last participant collecting signage but hopefully not your rubbish. Make sure anything you take in you take away when you've emptied it. Make sure you have suitable clothing to walk, run or ride in and to change into after.

Event location can be exposed to the elements with little shelter and the tracks can be varied under foot with some rough bumps, grass and uneven surfaces but generally very good. Leave your headphones at home and enjoy chatting plus you can hear if you take a wrong turn. Maps will be provided on the day.
