Commemorate the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi / Te Tiriti o Waitangi and celebrate the diversity and cultures of Queenstown Lakes.

This year's Waitangi Day event starts at 12.00pm, with a walking parade departing from Earnslaw Park - lead by our own Southern Lakes Highland Band.

The parade will then arrive at the Queenstown Memorial Centre, welcomed by an official Powhiri and local school group Kapa Haka.

The day continues with cultural performances celebrating the diversity of Queenstown Lakes. The Memorial Centre will have plenty more to offer too, with food stalls, face painting, activities and information to keep you and the family entertained throughout the afternoon.
