Triumph & Tribulation: POSTPONED

In our winter concert, Bay of Plenty Symphonia is on track to triumph over all the difficulties we faced with Covid-19. The performance features local award-winning trombone soloist, Joe Thomas, in Grondahl's Concerto for Trombone and Orchestra. Also with special guest performers, the young players of Youth Philharmonic Tauranga.

Also on the programme, which celebrates victory over sadness and hardship, are Douce Tristesse by NZ composer Ken Young; Sibelius' Kuolema Suite including the well known Valse Triste; and Poulenc's lively Sinfonietta.

Our Guest Conductor is Timothy Carpenter. All are welcome and there is no ticket charge for entry - any donations would be much appreciated to help cover our costs.
