In a 60 minute tour our volunteer guides will take you through some of the unique features of New Zealand’s only public botanic garden dedicated solely to New Zealand plants, from small ground-dwelling ferns to tall rimu and rata trees. You will see plants that have adapted to browsing over the centuries by large flightless birds, plants with medicinal properties and plants which were a unique source of food for particular species.
