Tour & Tea! Join us on guided tour though St Andrew's church Epsom with its intriguing connection to the Kerr Taylors of Alberton, as part of the Auckland Heritage Festival 2020.

Learn the story of young gentlewoman Violet Kerr Taylor of Alberton, who eloped to marry at the church in 1894 and those of other notable Auckland citizens, some of whom rest in the cemetery.

Explore the interior of the 1867 Category I Heritage listed Gothic Revival church and examine some of the features of its interior including the font, the stained-glass windows, chapels and devotional art.

This approx 1 hour tour takes place at St Andrew's (100 St Andrews Road, Epsom) and is followed by tea & scones at your own pace back at Alberton, with plenty of time explore the house and meander in the garden at your leisure.

Bookings essential. To book contact Alberton at alberton@heritage.org.nz or (09) 8467367.

Tickets include tea/scones and Alberton admission. Please note that transport between the two sites is not provided. It is a 12min drive from St Andrews to Alberton.
