Tauranga Jazz Society’s top priority is the health and safety of our audience, artists, staff, volunteers, sponsors, and community. Following the recommendation of the New Zealand government and public health officials we regretfully announce, the 58th National Jazz Festival has been cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns. This concert is cancelled.
For the first time at the National Jazz Festival, the BOP Symphonia will jazz it up with Joplin, Gershwin and Ellington.
Featuring piano soloist Soomin Kim – winner of the BoPS Rising Stars concerto competition (2015), and the Haydn Staples Piano scholar (2019) performing as soloist with APO.\
Justus Rozemond, the BOP Symphonia MD and Conductor since 2012 has arranged some of the works in the programme and has performed them with the Trust Waikato Symphony Orchestra. Hear a dazzling selection of jazz influenced orchestral music.
