The Sunday Session at Mud Ducks on the afternoon of July 5th will featuring guitarist/ songsmith Terry Sarten with John Scudder on double bass performing as The Urban Angels.
The musical style tilts a hat towards the blues and Americana with a collection of Terry’s own songs alongside those of musicians who are wonderful examples of the special skill that crafts a great song out of melody and lyrics such as John Prine, Little Feat, Van Morrison and Tom Waits.
Over the past year they have played in a range of local venues and Terry travels to Europe every two years to do a run of solo shows in Germany.
The latest addition to the set list is a song in which the lyrics are a snapshot of an angel’s day following a night shift at the Pearly Gates lamenting that “Even angels get the blues”. Terry Sarten songs and writings can be found on his website.
