This high-energy 2-day workshop will teach you some of street dancing’s most popular moves. You’ll also learn the attitude, swagger and showmanship required to be a street dance star.

Street dancing is an urban phenomenon that mashes up breaking, hip hop, locking, popping and house. You’ll chop and change styles at the drop of a hat and be encouraged to improvise and freestyle as you move with the rhythm.

Friends and family are welcome to watch the final street battle showdown.

Tutor Richie Cesan is a director of the BoyzDance2 company and a member of the popular Identity Dance Crew. He has been dancing since he was 5-years-old and has studied ballet, tap jazz, contemporary and hip hop (completing major exams in jazz and tap). Richie has a Bachelor of Performing Arts in Dance and co-founded TMC Dance Crew, which represented NZ at the World Hip Hop Champs in 2007 and 2009. Richie is a winner and triple nominee for the TEMPO Dance Festival Young Choreographer of the Year and a foundation choreographer for the successful ‘Out of the Box’ production which has featured at TEMPO.
