Tutor Lynette Forday is an actor, presenter, writer, journalist and motivational speaker. A familiar face on NZ screens for well over two decades, Lynette’s work on Shortland Street made her a household name but her work extends far beyond the show. Before she began acting, Lynette was an accomplished Ballet Dancer. At 17 she was the youngest dancer to be employed by the Royal NZ Ballet Company. Ballet took her to America and Britain where she developed a love for acting. She returned to Australia and one of 18 selected from 3000 applicants to be accepted into the world renowned Acting University NIDA, where actors such as Cate Blanchett and Nicole Kidman trained. Other highlights of Lynette’s career include presenting the international travel show ‘Destination Planet Earth’. A published writer and voice over talent, Lynette is also passionate about motivational speaking. She enjoys mentoring the performers of tomorrow.
