Riverside Shindig - Whanganui Vintage Weekend 2020

Dig the scene, get your groove on and chill out as we revisit the 1970's with the Whanganui River as our backdrop. Live music, dancing, pop-up bar, food trucks and family fun.

The Riverside Shindig is one of the main events in the Whanganui Vintage Weekend programme and is in easy walking distance to many of the events and attractions taking place on Sunday. Get along the riverbank early and watch the Billy Webb Challenge. The 'Billy Webb' commemorates NZ's first professional single sculling world champion - William 'Billy' Webb's defence of his World Title on the Whanganui River in 1908.
