Come along to hear Nicole McKee, Mark Cameron and others in Palmerston North. 6:30 mix & mingle, 7:30 speeches, Q&A.
Nicole is a small business owner, who delivers firearms safety education in rural and isolated communities for the New Zealand Police. She also has a background in law, firearms component imports, and was the coordinator of the nation's volunteer firearms safety instructors for the Mountain Safety Council and the spokesperson for the Council of Licensed Firearms Owners and its Fair and Reasonable Campaign. Nicole is ranked number 3 on the ACT Party list, making her an MP after the election on current polling. Nicole will primarily be discussing ACT's policies on firearms, but will also address our broader policy platform.
Mark Cameron will be Zoomed in from his dairy farm up in Ruawai, Northland. Mark is a 48 year old dairy farmer, having farmed in the Northland region for 30 years. He is running for ACT because he believes the rural sector has been let down by successive governments of both major parties. Mark is the most authentic voice you could have for the rural sector in Parliament. The reason he cannot attend in person is because he's got 300 cows to milk twice a day and a 290 acre farm to look after. At number 8 on our party list, we only need an extra 1.5% on top of current polling to send mark to Wellington after the election. Mark will speak to our party's rural policy platform.
Also present will be local candidate Jack Phillips, Vice-President of ACT Isaac Henderson, and Rangitīkei candidate Neil Wilson.
