Project Early Bird Predator Trapping Conservation Week Event

Join the volunteers from Project Early Bird - a predator trapping project founded in 2018. We have 80 DOC 200 traps at the iconic Lake Matheson Fox Glacier, South Westland. We will be checking traps, talking about our project, hopefully putting some more traps out depending on volunteer numbers, and doing bird counts. We are protecting Rowi Kiwi, fernbirds, gecko and invertebrate, while bringing back other bird life to the lake.

Please wear suitable clothing and sturdy footwear for walking off track through West Coast bush. Bring drinking water and spare clothing. All welcome - good family friendly experience.
