Peachgrove Keep it Fresh

In collaboration with the University of Waikato, Peachgrove Intermediate is hosting a Polynesian Cultural festival for Waikato based performance groups. The event will be held at the Gallagher Academy of Performing Arts and will feature talented performers of all ages.

With a wealth of young talent from local schools and community groups, Peachgrove Keep it Fresh promises to be a very welcome addition to the 2020 calendar. The event will be held on the 31st of October and will feature performances from Knighton and Fairfield Primary, Fairfield, Melville and Peachgrove Intermediate, Hamilton Girls and St. Johns high schools, the University of Waikato and Hamcia Hamilton Cook Island Association.

The event will kick start with a welcome ceremony including Peachgrove Intermediate’s Kapa Haka group and will continue with a variety of cultural items from Tongan, Samoan, Tuvaluan and Cook Islands heritage.

There will be an outside event happening alongside the main indoors event with food and entertainment available for spectators to enjoy and relax outside before, during and after the performances. There will also be spot prizes and giveaways throughout the day and some VIP guests to add to the mix.
