About Dali:

Dali Susanto was born in the art capital of Indonesia, Jogjakarta in 1986.

Brought up surrounded by artists, both within and outside of his family circle, Dali's mother and father (and other family members) own batik galleries and teach local and international tourists and students the skill of working with batik.

He was named by his parents after Salvador Dali in hope that he would follow along the same footsteps and become an artist.

Dali produces bold paintings and designs, usually using acrylics and often resembling prints.  He continues to expand on his creativity and has begun painting on different media as well as canvas.

Since moving to New Zealand in 2007 Dali's career as an artist has taken off and he has held several exhibitions at galleries in Hastings and Napier, as well as in the Taupo Museum. Dali is a regular exhibitor at Creative Arts Napier and we are really excited to host his first adult's workshop!

NB: Creative Arts Napier reserves the right to cancel this workshop a week prior to the date in the very rare event of insufficient bookings.
