Oscar Laven Trio - Soul Funk

Fronted by sartorial saxophonist Oscar Lavën (fresh from playing with Steve Gadd and James Carter), this deep-digging, boots-and-all Soul Funk organ trio comes with the unstoppable Christopher Yeabsley and Darren Mathiassen.

We'll be running this weekend’s gigs according to Level 2 rules. That means everyone will be seated and we’ll be doing table service. There won’t be as many tables as usual in our lounge but we’ll be relaying the sound through the PA to the rest of the bar.

We are also building the best range of imported beer that New Zealand has seen. We deal directly with breweries in Australia, Japan and the US and import many of the best beers in the Pacific rim. We also have access to some of the best beers coming from Europe. We open at midday every day.
