Orchestra Wellington presents
Rachmaninoff 1: Rapture

Marc Taddei, Music Director
Amalia Hall, Violin

Dvorak - Serenade for Strings
Jennifer Higdon - Violin Concerto, Amalia Hall, Violin
Rachmaninoff - Symphony No. 1

When prize-winning violinist Amalia Hall is centre stage, you can hear a spellbinding performance of pure artistry.

After her sublime interpretation of Barber’s concerto last year with Orchestra Wellington, this August, New Zealand’s premiere violinist is playing a 21st Century work by American Jennifer Higdon.

Dvorak’s graceful Serenade for Strings is the table setter for conductor Marc Taddei, before the grandeur of Russian Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 1.

Orchestra Wellington and music director Marc Taddei presents Rachmaninoff: Rapture with violinist Amalia Hall.

Part two of The Great Romantic 2020 Season, proudly brought to you by Orchestra Wellington.
