When prize-winning violinist Amalia Hall is centre stage, you can hear a spellbinding performance of pure artistry.
After her sublime interpretation of Barber’s concerto last year with Orchestra Wellington, this August, New Zealand’s premiere violinist is playing a 21st Century work by American Jennifer Higdon.
Dvorak’s graceful Serenade for Strings is the table setter for conductor Marc Taddei, before the grandeur of Russian Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 1.
