New Zealand Fringe is back for its 30th annual festival, providing an extraordinary platform for artistic innovation and organised chaos throughout three weeks of summer; February 28th - March 21st 2020.
Celebrate three decades of Wellington hosting the country's largest open-access, artist-first festival and let us present you with a cornucopia of incredible creativity from both home and abroad. This is where practitioners of every kind come to express themselves, experiment with form and flavour, and offer accessible art to our region and beyond.
The 2020 programme is full of incredible talent with over 153 shows, in more than 40 Wellington venues and includes over 1,000 individual performers. That is mighty impressive.
To top it off, over half of our 150+ programme listings feature practitioners based in Wellington, and the rest being a mix of national and international offerings to delight audiences, whatever your tastes may be.
