About the Retreat
This retreat is a perfect way to start the year. Join us for one day or you can book for the entire three day retreat.

We all wish to change and aspire to be a better person, more peaceful, kinder, confident, happier and more loving. We will discover through meditation that positive change, and even profound change, is in our very nature and that we can absolutely direct ourselves towards becoming the person we wish to be.

In this new year retreat our Resident Teacher, Kelsang Luma will introduce us to simple yet profound meditations that will help kick the new year off as a new you.

This fully guided retreat will be held at the Centre and is suitable for beginners and advanced. Everybody is welcome

Meditations for Relaxation and Inspiration
Saturday 4th January

During this day retreat you will be guided through meditations to help relax both your body and mind, leading to a deep experience of inner peace. Even though the meditations are very simple they are very powerful. Learn to experience a calm, spacious feeling in the mind, allow your usual problems to fall away and improve your relationships with others.

Cost: $60 – includes morning and afternoon tea. Please bring your own lunch to enjoy at the Centre or there are cafes nearby.

Meditations to Develop a Kind Heart
Sunday 5th January

The kind heart meditations have particular focus on developing loving-kindness through meditation and gives practical methods to profoundly improve and transform your relationships. You can then bring this new perspective back into your daily lives to benefit yourself and others.

Cost: $60 – includes morning and afternoon tea. Please bring your own lunch to enjoy at the Centre or there are cafes nearby.

Meditations to Develop a Clear Mind
Monday 6th January

These guided meditations lead you on a voyage of exploration that help you to experience mental clarity and inner peace by meditating on the mind itself.

Cost: $60 – includes morning and afternoon tea. Please bring your own lunch to enjoy at the Centre or there are cafes nearby.

Timetable:
- 9.50 – 10.00am: Registration
- 10.00 – 11.00am: Teaching
- 11.00 – 11.30am: Morning tea
- 11.30 – 12.30pm: Guided meditation
- 12.30 – 2.00pm: Lunch break
- 2.00 – 3.00pm: Teaching
- 3.00 – 3.30pm: Afternoon tea
- 3.30 – 4.30pm: Guided meditation

What to expect at class
These classes are based on Buddha’s teachings on the mind, but you do not need to be a Buddhist to attend, or to benefit from them.

There is no physical exercise involved and you can choose to sit either in a chair or on a cushion.
The retreat is suitable for all levels of experience.
