Nadia was just 12 years old – and a budding young cook whose idol was Jamie Oliver – when she came up with the idea of ‘nude food’, the concept of everyday, simple, healthy and delicious food. This has been her mantra ever since (she wasn’t referring to cooking or eating in the nude, in case that’s what you were thinking!); rather, Nude Food signifies fresh, natural, real food, free of additives and without fancy packages and marketing, a message she conveys to her audiences with her fresh, bright and tasty recipes.

The last few years have been a big ride for the Otago University-qualified dietitian and former MasterChef New Zealand winner. She’s published 10 bestselling cookbooks, with her latest, Vegful, runner up at this year’s Gourmand World Cookbook awards. Nadia is one of the founders of My Food Bag, a genius recipe and meal kit delivery service that delivers to households across New Zealand; she has her own lifestyle Magazine, Nadia; and is the proud mum of Bodhi and River!

And it doesn’t stop there. During lockdown Nadia brought a selection of her family favourites to our screens, presenting simple dishes that make the most of your kitchen staples, filmed and produced by Nadia and her husband Carlos on their family farm in Central Otago. Demand driven by the successful show encouraged Nadia to produce a free online cookbook that includes all of the show’s recipes, and a printed version with all its proceeds going to charity.

Don’t miss Nadia at Bloom in the Boom, where she’ll deliver a live cooking demonstration, cooking recipes using local ingredients as she talks about her life and work and passions. There’ll be time for questions, and a book signing.
