Join us for this 2 days event ,to explore the amazing power of silence, stillness, sound and deep relaxation.
On Friday evening we explore mostly practical approaches of the tools of stillness, conscious breathing ,sound ,mantra and silence.
We start the evening practicing basic Sun Salutations with Bija mantras (seed mantras) integrating sound into our asana practice, we continue with a grounding meditation and calming pranayama. Then we chant mantras for clarity , strength and empowerment, allowing the resonance of our voice and harmonium to take over our minds and body becoming one with the sound and consciousness.
We finish the evening with a long nourishing Savasana with Tibetan and Crystal bowls to integrate the practice.
On the day, we go deeper into the theory of Nada Yoga (the Yoga of sound) described in the Hatha Yoga Pradipika as one path to find deeper level of awareness and self knowledge through sound.
We identify the 4 levels of sound from the yogic point of view and how they interrelate as a inner ladder towards peace and connection.
We apply that theory with exercises of conscious listening and discerning from sounds adding the term drishti ( focal/merging point) to the sound panorama.
We finish the session with a full Nada Yoga practice and deep relaxation.
Both events are open to everyone, and you are able to join both events or just come to one fo them.
Bookings available on spaceyoga.nz or directly at the counter of the studio.
