MOTTE plays her welcome back to Christchurch at the darkroom with a Thursday Noise Situation stalwart NoTV, Alabaster Crashes Down, and the debut performance of you and me.
Riding the thin line between beauty and devastation, MOTTE (Anita Clark) creates sweeping, textural soundscapes using violin, effects, and other bits and bobs. Having released two albums ‘Songs For Movies’ and ‘Strange Dreams’, she also composes for film, dance and theatre.
NoTV: etching out electro-aucousto noise for thirty years, utilizing an arsenal of odd-ball sound implements, some fx pedals, some chutzpah and a lot of luck…
alabaster crashes down is an occasional side project and draws on killing jokes 'hossanas from the basement of hell' and soft cell's 'the art of falling apart'.
grounded in an intense dislike of pink floyd alabaster crashes down makes noises reminiscent of discarded thoughts and suggestion
"A dual virgin confusion illusion seeking safety in freedom, spirituality in eudaimonian flow, and evolution from porridge." - You and Me
