March Poetry at the Fringe

This month's programme will be on Sunday 22 March. (Note this is a change from our usual 3rd Sunday of the month.)

We start at 4pm with our Open Mic session, then from 5pm we present our guest performers. First are musicians The Harpies. Virginia Earle has sung in choirs and folk groups most of her life. Jenny Wrightson has played and owned harps for over 20 years.

They come together to share their love of folk and traditional music. They are followed by our guest poet/spoken word performer, Claire Waldron. Claire comes from the South Island. She has a background in performance and recently completed her MFA in theatre (creative practice) at Victoria University. She is currently touring her solo show, ‘Stupid Bitch Wants a Puppy’.
