The Champion Centre – ‘Realising every child’s potential’

The Champion Centre is a not for profit organisation that provides centre-based early intervention services to children with significant developmental delays and disabilities between the ages of 0 and 6 years. Their core services include speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and early intervention teaching. These services are complemented by their supporting programmes which include music and play therapy, computer-assisted learning, and a transition to school programme.

With approximately a $7,000 shortfall in Government funding per child, the Champion Foundation Trust, a registered charitable trust, was set up to help address the shortfall in operational costs and to secure the future sustainability of the Champion Centre.
