The Meteor and Browsers Bookshop Literary Salon returns for April! Join us for a night of discussion and exchange ideas with likeminded literary lovers!
For this salon we have a Poetry extravaganza planned for you! The panel features;
Vaughan Rapatahana– 2016 winner of the Proverse Poetry Prize, Vaughan is known for his works dealing with colonial repression and cultural encounter. Bob Orr– Winner of the Lauris Edmond Memorial Award for Poetry in 2016 and author of nine collections of poetry, the latest collection being One Hundred Poems and a Year. Joining the panel will also be Tracey Slaughter author of poetry collection Conventional Weapons and newly appointed of Editor of Poetry NZ.
Rounding off the panel is Essa May Ranapiri who was recently longlisted for the Ockham NZ Book Awards and whose book Ransack has been nominated for the Mary and Peter Biggs Award for Poetry.
Come along to this inspiring and interesting evening for writers and readers to meet and converse. As per usual the event will be hosted by our fabulous MC Dr Mark Houlahan, and there will be some of our panellists’ work available for sale at the event.
Tickets are $15 General Admission including a glass and some nibbles. Available online or Door Sales at The Meteor on the night.
