Lino is a printmaking medium suitable for extended exploration, so if you have some experience of printmaking and want to get experimental, sign up and join in the fun. You can refresh your skills and/or extend them and go at your own pace. This course is not suitable for absolute beginners, but don't be shy if it's been a few years since you last carved a piece of lino. You'll pick it up again in no time, and get fantastic results!

Tutor Lisa Feyen will carefully guide you through the process of relief printmaking using lino over a series of 8 evening classes. The first four weeks will cover the ‘reduction’ technique of printing a multi-coloured print edition from one block, moving on to using more than one block to create an edition of multi-coloured registered prints.

Use of the CAN tools and press, your first piece of lino and inks are included. You will eventually need to bring paper suitable for printing on, which will be discussed at the first class. Lino will be available to purchase through the CAN shop.

As full instruction of every class starts promptly at 6.30pm, please arrive to each class with a few minutes to spare.

What to bring:
- Visual inspiration! (Photo’s, drawings, magazine snips etc)
- A gold coin for a cuppa
- Pencil/pens and some drawing paper (sketch books are ideal)

Pre-payment secures your place. You can pay at the front desk or online using reference code EV 2027 and your surname.
