Blowout Comedy

"Laughter Is The Best Medicine" is an awesome night of top shelf, professional comedy for one night only in Oamaru!

Featuring two great international comedians and two terrific Kiwi talents!

Gary Sansome (UK): Comedy veteran Sansome has a string of awards to his name and his recent solo show, Bald Man Sings Rihanna, pulled both the crowds and five-star reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He's performed at the world famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival four times and has toured all over the world (USA, Europe, Australia, Asia and NZ) including performances at the famous NYC comedy club "Caroline's" "Escapism of the highest order... superb crowd-work, improvisation and the largest amount of energy I have ever seen used on stage. An hour of pure entertainment and hilarity' ***** (Bunbury Magazine).

Jonathan Falconer (USA) : Falconer has been performing comedy regularly since 2013, starting out in Salt Lake City, Utah, then New York City. He has featured on shows across the United States from California to New York City and internationally in Germany, Australia and New Zealand. He has opened for prominent comedians including Dan Cummins, Shane Mauss, Sean Rouse, and Urzila Carlson. Jonathan has a sharp wit and a bright smile that makes it easy to laugh at depressing subjects. He has performed at the Idaho Laugh Fest, Golden Spike Comedy Festival, and the Dunedin Fringe Festival. In 2015, he was runner up for the Best Comedian in Utah Award by City Weekly.

Dan Brader (NZ): Brader has been performing since 2007 all over Australia and NZ. His unique, biting, brutal style of comedy has made him a cult favourite in festivals and clubs in both countries. "Clearly the most experienced, Brader breezed through with a bunch of sharp, cynical and biting gags on a variety of topics." - The Southland Times. "Brader is a comic you will love or hate, but he's never dull." - New Zealand Theatre Review. "In a comedy world that can be a bit ‘same-y’, Dan Brader dares to be different" - ARTSHUB.

Reuben Crisp (NZ): Crisp has been in comedy for a few years now performing his energetic, fast paced style of comedy. He has performed all over NZ from Invercargill to Auckland and regularly runs and performs at shows in his hometown of Dunedin. "Quick witted and very funny" - The Otago Daily Times
