A free ZEALANDIA shuttle picks up from the top of the Cable Car on a timetable and takes you straight to ZEALANDIA. Just jump aboard in the city and in no time at all you will be surrounded by nature! Check out the timetable on our website.
Alternatively, walk 20-30 minutes through the suburb of Kelburn, where you will see houses built from the early 1900s and now has some of Wellington’s most exclusive properties. Walk through the lovely Kelburn Village and across the Kelburn Viaduct that was constructed in 1930-31 and is an important historic object.

After your tour, you are invited to stay in the Sanctuary for as long as you like. The last ZEALANDIA shuttle leaves ZEALANDIA at 5 pm. Bookings are essential, and space is limited on tours. Shuttles also have limited seats so please allow plenty of time to get to ZEALANDIA before your tour starts. There is an inside exhibition, café and store at ZEALANDIA so plenty to do once you are there.
