Kokomo - Derek's Lockdown Songs - special request show
Once again Kokomo - after a postponement - are having a crack at celebrating the end of New Zealand's lockdown restrictions and the rebirth of live music. With that in mind the band are delighted to announce their first ever show at the Jam Factory.
Way back in the dim dark days of the first lockdown Kokomo frontman, singer/guitarist Derek Jacombs, kept busy singing 50 songs on Facebook in 50 days. Now Kokomo's acoustic band are playing a request show based around those songs. There are the band's own songs, a pile of trad blues, and Kiwi songs by the likes of Mike Garner, The Windy City Strugglers and others. The show will be 75% audience requests - come and ask for your favourites or just come and enjoy whatever gets requested on the day - no two shows are the same!
