Kids Junior Ballet Classes (Ages 4-6)

These junior ballet classes aim to build each child’s love of dance, teaching technical dance skills in a fun environment.

The classes nurture self-esteem as well as physical capability, imagination and team work. Children will also learn the valuable skills of musicality, artistry and focus.

Teaching artist Rose Philpott has been working as a freelance dancer, choreographer and teacher for the past five years. Rose has a Bachelor of Performing and Screen Arts from Unitec (majoring in contemporary dance) and won the Eileen May Norris Dance Scholarship. She is a founding member of the Foster Group and has performed for Footnote NZ Dance, the World of Wearable Art and Okareka Dance Company, among other companies. She brings an in-depth knowledge of dance techniques and performance along with imagination and a sense of play to her classes.
