Drop in with your kids during the July school holidays to make art that surprises and inspires:

Wed 8 Jul
Weave a rainbow:
Weave fabric strips under and over to capture a spectrum of colours and textures.

Thu 9 Jul
Our Mounga:
Rotokare Scenic Reserve Trust educator Ash joins us for a special art/science collaboration. We will use art to get know our local native species and then make our own giant mountain sculpture. Come ready to plait or twine strings, paint and decorate stones.

Fri 10 Jul
Screen me:
Transform yourself into a living movie screen. Walk away with a colourful hat or mask that captures the colours and patterns of Len Lye films in pastel and dye.

Wed 15 Jul
Star Map:
Inspired by Pasifika star maps and Tapa making, devise your own guide to Puanga and Matariki using pigments and stencils.

Thu 16 Jul
Stencil and paint:
Experiment using everyday utensils and tools, as stencils to paint and mark uniquely patterned movie posters.

Fri 17 Jul
Te Whānau Mārama / The Family of Light:
Learn about the night sky in Te Ao Māori then use pastel on fabric to create flags or hangings with the planets and their movement as inspiration.
