JLC1.2: Clay for Beginners with Jean Lonergan

Ability group: Children 7-10 years

Aimed at the younger student, this class will develop your child's knowledge and understanding of working with clay as they create a series of small projects.

Your child will get to use their imagination to create as they will learn about coiling, pinching, joining, carving and other techniques; all basic skills, crucial to creating a long lasting piece of art with clay. When they have finished and dried their work, they will have the opportunity to experiment with adding simple and bright glazes.

​​​Over the first few weeks of term students will have the opportunity to work on pieces to display in our student Sea Week 2020 exhibition.
