Friends of Rotorua Museum are hosting a special talk by Brett Marvelly on Sunday 19 July 2020 at 2pm.
The talk will take place in the in Nellie Budd Room at the Princes Gate Hotel – the very hotel that Brett and his wife, Vlasta, brought as 28 year olds in 1986.
Brett will begin his talk with a brief history of the hotel prior to their purchase and then expand on the 30 years they owned the iconic building. From the trials and tribulations of hotel ownership including weathering a financial crash with a mortgage paying 19% interest.
