A Celebration of International Indigenous Peoples Day

Free, but bookings essential on the website

Cinema + Community Conversation

The Govett Brewster Art Gallery, in partnership with Tu Tama Wahine o Taranaki, invites you to celebrate this global day committed to the promotion and protection of the rights of indigenous peoples.

Annually, it is a day to recognise the achievements and contributions Indigenous people make to improve the ever-changing world around us.

This year, we will screen the following, locally-made short films, followed by a panel conversation with some of the cast on their reflections and insights into the ways they honour and celebrate Indigenous people in Taranaki:

- Community Living Book Volume 1
- Super Powers
- Community Kōrero for Common Good
