Discover the new rising stars in classical music!

The Hawke's Bay Branch of the Institute of Registered Music Teachers is proud to present this year's exciting music event which highlights our talented young Hawke's Bay classical musicians in concert and in competition. They are playing to win the Freemasons Charity HB Young Musician of the Year scholarship prize. Entry to the prelim performances is from 10 am for the morning session and 12.30 afternoon - by koha/donation.

Advanced classical music students will be playing piano, violin or flute in the preliminary round, with finalists selected at the end of this concert for the final concert on 11 Sept.

The adjudicator for this preliminary round will be Andrew Buchanan-Smart from Hamilton; Susan Smith from Auckland will adjudicate the final concert.
