Aotearoa indie rock royalty Hamish Kilgour and Taranaki sad-girl-with-a-guitar Emily Riordan return to New Plymouth for an evening of music, poetry, and fuzz. In New Plymouth only, Kilgour and Riordan will be joined by Peter Jefferies, another stalwart of New Zealand’s indie/post-punk scene.
Hamish Kilgour
Best known as a founding member of The Clean, Hamish Kilgour returned to New Zealand in 2019 after thirty years in New York. His most recent work, 2018 LP "Finklestein", was born of a story Kilgour crafted for his young son.
Emily Riordan
Taranaki's Emily Riordan plays dreamy, melancholic soft pop influenced by her background in classical piano and singing. Her debut EP "Waves", a trip hop/trap collaboration with Wellington producer Shxshi, was released in May 2019.
Peter Jefferies
Known for his work in Nocturnal Projections and This Kind of Punishment, as well as his extensive solo and collaborative catalogue, Peter Jefferies is often named as a living legend of New Zealand's underground music scene.
