Group 1 Matariki Tin Can Lantern Workshop

Matariki is about whānau and it’s lovely to create together. You can bring up to 3 children with you. You are included as a participant in terms of the workshop numbers.

Come along to this whānau (7yrs+ with an adult), craft workshop and create your own upcycled tin lantern. Then bring it along to the Village Inn Matariki celebrations on Friday 17 July from 6.30. These upcycled tin can lanterns with battery or LED lights are easy for kids to create, and make really lovely night lanterns. And, as with all our Matariki craft, it’s a great way to start a conversation about Matariki and what it means for us. All materials provided except the LED lights.
