Tonight Wellington City Council proudly brings you the New Zealand String Quartet! Enjoy an evening of toe-tapping chamber music with classical favourites, fizzing folk tunes, a spritz of jazz and some unique kiwi flavour.

Learn fascinating stories behind the music from this outstanding quartet as they work their magic and share their secrets. Plus - special guest Rob Thorne will join the quartet on taonga puoro as they perform Gareth Farr’s He Poroporoaki. (Photo of Rob Thorne courtesy of Mikel Taylor).

Wellington’s iconic concert series returns to fill your summer nights with the sounds of Aotearoa’s best and brightest! Come early to grab a good picnic spot and enjoy the garden gallery featuring artworks by Campbell Maud and Jonathan Campbell. Then as the sun goes down see the gardens transform with a magical light display by MJF Lighting from 9.30pm - 10.30pm.
