Darkroom and RDU 98.5 FM present the first seminar in their series of free, informal, peer-run artist development sessions

July's topic is Gig Promotion.

We'll talk you through some free and cheap marketing strategies including effective use of social media, gig guides, press releases, postering, ticketing agents, interviews, and sponsorship. Whether you're brand new to event management or you've been running shows for ages - come along, you might learn something new, or if you're an old pro you might have some knowledge to share with the rest of us.

It's free to attend and we'll provide some free snacks. The bar will be open if you want to buy a drink.

These events will be super informal and the idea is to learn from our peers and share our skills and experience with others in the creative and event industries.
