Emma launches her first book for children, ‘The Girl Who Ran Across Africa’, based on one of her most inspiring adventure

Adventurer and illustrator Emma Timmis believes strength and resilience can’t be taught in a classroom. She has multiple running and adventure records – and even holds a Guinness World Record for riding 8,000km across Australia on an elliptical bike! In 2014, she ran 3,974km across Africa in 89 days. The Girl Who Ran Across Africa is her first book for children.

This event will take place in the Workshop Room at the Sherwood. The Workshop Room is located behind Reception.
