Come join Edge of the Woods for a night of live music and to help celebrate the release of our first E.P. Lookin' for Somethin'. A 6 track journey that features lounge soul, swamp blues, a touching ballad and untamed folk. Lookin' For Somethin' was recorded at Taranaki's hottest studio, Rhythm Ace, with engineer and producer Sam Johnson.

Lookin' for Somethin' can be streamed, purchased, downloaded, or enjoyed from your favourite platforms, Spotify, iTunes, Bandcamp, Youtube + more.

Pre-purchase of the limited edition CD version of the album is available when you purchase your tickets (to be collected at the gig), plus limited edition 'Lost Cowboy' T-Shirts.

Helping enhance the sound, Edge of the Woods will be joined by special guests: Graeme Woller (Guitar) and Sarah Foreman (Keyboard).

Engaging with live audiences is where Edge Of The Woods thrive and engage their organic sound. As a trio, the band creates surprising and diverse arrangements combining vocals, guitar, bass and drums. Wes James leads the songs on acoustic guitar along with a deep baritone voice that ranges from gravelly rumbles to contemplative crooning. Jarrod Hooper brings a wealth of experience and precision on the drum kit with teasingly tight beats and grooves. Being the youngest member, Matthew Mahood adds an energetic playfulness on the bass guitar to complement the trio.

This gig features a special performance from Taranaki based artist Emily Riordan, who has been busy touring New Zealand following the release of her debut EP "Waves". Emily plays dreamy, melancholic soft pop influenced by her background in classical piano and singing. "Waves", released in May 2019, is a trip-hop/trap collaboration with Wellington producer Shxshi. Emily also released an acoustic version of this EP. Both are available on all streaming platforms.
