Julia Lynn’s paintings and photography are motivated by her love of nature and in particular the New Zealand landscape. She spent all of her childhood, and much of her adult life in the Tasman Bay. The family had a bach at Torrent Bay and so Julia’s creative satisfaction was streamed towards the sea, coast and bush.

She paints in acrylic, sometimes finishing in oil, using metallic paint where suitable. Julia has been painting for 20 years and was a working member of the Suter art society in Nelson. She participated in The Nelson Arts Society annual Queens Garden Art Sale, and has sold a number of paintings privately.

Julia paints for the love of painting; selling is good, creating is wonderful. See her work in the CAN Small Gallery until 17 September.
