Dig It! : CANCELLED

*As a result of the latest Government measures to contain COVID-19, several MOTAT events have been cancelled or postponed, including Dig It!.
MOTAT remains open as we actively monitor the situation and follow the New Zealand Ministry of Health’s expert advice. We are managing the risks to ensure the Museum remains a safe and welcoming space for everyone during this unprecedented situation. Our team is working closely with suppliers, communities and authorities to put additional mitigation measures in place wherever possible.*

Dirt, grease, and big machines! ‘Dig It!’ returns for three days of noisy fun and excitement this March.

Young kids are fascinated by heavy machinery. Dig It! is a construction-themed event full of interactive and fun activities that encourage kids to explore, be curious and ignites imaginations.

Come and explore the impressive machinery on display, get hands-on in the Construction Zone, and even operate Doug the Digger!

This action-packed event encourages hands-on and discovery-based learning for kids in a fun and safe environment.

Normal MOTAT admission fees apply. Recommended for ages 7 years and under.

Please note some age/height restrictions may apply to operating the Digger.
