About the course:
Depression is very common and can affect almost everyone, at any time. Depression causes us to feel deeply unhappy about our life, isolated and alone. We can also suffer from excessive self-criticism and discouragement, which blocks our capacity for authentic personal and spiritual growth.

In this course our Resident Teacher, Kelsang Luma, will show us how to apply the profound methods of Buddhist psychology and meditation that enable us to cultivate mental habits that are uplifting, encouraging and empowering, and become the confident, joyful and positive person we wish to be.

The Teacher
Kelsang Luma is a Buddhist nun and the Resident Teacher of Kalpa Bhadra Buddhist Centre in Christchurch and is Geshe-las representative in the South Island. She has been ordained under Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for 15 years and has dedicated her life to studying and practicing his instructions and helping people solve their problems through Buddha’s timeless instructions.

Luma gives clear and practical teachings, sharing her deep understanding of the Buddhist path. Through her teachings and example she shows us how we can easily integrate Buddha’s wisdom into our modern lives.

Booking is essential, so please book online now or contact the Centre to book your place.
