Wellington riff merchants Dark Divinity return to Valhalla this August as part of a rescheduled tour to support their debut E.P. MESSIANIC.

Joining them for the occasion will be local post-black-metallers Alter of Achlys & the recently reconfigured black metal 6-piece Fall of Man.
Dark Divinity have gone from strength to strength since their formation in 2017, self-releasing a handful of singles to underground critical acclaim, supporting metal legendS At the Gates and The Haunted on their NZ tour, and recently teaming up with Australian label Trench Records for the release of their debut E.P. MESSIANIC.

The event will be Dark Divinity’s first Wellington show in almost a year to the day, and the band have prepared a fresh setlist densely packed with frantic riffing, melodic hooks and pummelling blast beats. The set will include a generous helping of previously unheard material the band have written in the past year, along with their debut E.P. MESSIANIC performed in its entirety.

So clear your calendar, book your ticket and prepare to be bombarded by a cacophony of melodic death and black metal.

“Rising force in New Zealand metal, Dark Divinity creates powerful and ominous sounds and visuals. With aggressive, hook-laden riffing, double kicks, blast beats & screamed vocals, Dark Divinity is a nod to early Scandinavian pioneers of the melodic death metal genre.” - Metal Injection (May 2020)

“Taking no prisoners, Dark Divinity took the crowd through a set that scorched the very boards beneath their feet. They had already been earmarked as a band that is rising fast through the ranks and with a couple of international support slots under their belt (with no doubt more to come) it is easy to see why.” - Ambient Light Blog live review (May 2019)
