Dame Fiona Kidman is one of New Zealand's most celebrated writers. Winner of numerous awards, Dame Fiona is renowned as one of New Zealand's foremost storytellers, having written over 30 books, including novels, short stories and poetry, and more than 60 television, film and radio scripts. She was created a Dame (DNZM) in 1998 in recognition of her contribution to literature. In 2019 This Mortal Boy won the Ockham New Zealand Book Awards Acorn Foundation Fiction Prize, the NZ Booklovers Award, the NZSA Heritage Book Award for Fiction and the Ngaio Marsh Award for Best Crime Novel. All The Way to Summer was published in 2020 to mark her 80th birthday.
