Following 2 sold-out nights at Creative Jazz Club in 2019, Mark de Clive-Lowe returns to for more spectacular jazz and groove, with drummer Brandon Combs (USA), Marika Hodgson on bass, and special guest Nathan Haines.

“Way before jazz hybridity became a worldwide phenomenon, de Clive-Lowe was busy designing its blueprint.” - Jazziz

Featuring:
Mark de Clive-Lowe - piano/keyboards/live electronics
Brandon Combs (USA) - drums
Marika Hodgson - bass

and special guests:
Nathan Haines - saxophone

Internationally-acclaimed, ex-pat Aucklander Mark de Clive-Lowe returns home for two nights of exclusive shows for CJC. His 2019 sold-out shows gave us two fantastic nights of music and we already know that the upcoming dates will be equally as special. In 2019, de Clive-Lowe released multiple projects including his Heritage duology, his Ronin Arkestra project and the beats-meets-jazz collaboration project CHURCH Sessions, leading BeatCaffeine to name him their 2019 Artist of the Year.

For his March return to CJC and Anthology, de Clive-Lowe is featuring drummer-extraordinaire Brandon Combs (Leon Bridges, Patrice Rushen) who comes to NZ for the first time, reunites with bassist Marika Hodgson and invites special guests J.Y. Lee (Avantdale Bowling Club) and long-time collaborator Nathan Haines each joining him on respective nights.

"de Clive-Lowe’s notion of truth on Heritage ultimately reaches beyond the individual, beyond his lineage and into the cultural moment we’re currently living” - Downbeat

“He has cemented his status as a truly gifted musician, composer, and producer in the jazz scene and beyond.” - Jazz Revelations
