Join us in celebrating the coming of the Chinese New Year.
Enjoy a colourful and spirited musical festival rarely seen in this country. A group of 30 dedicated artists from the NZ Blossom Art Group will showcase Chinese ethnic and folk songs, music and dance, including the famous and dynamic lion dance. And some musicians will treat you to music played on traditional Chinese instruments.
The NZ Blossom Art Group started in Auckland 10 years ago and is now made up of nearly 100 performers. Many of the performers are well recognised artists in China. As a group, they have performed at numerous events in New Zealand including Auckland, Whangarei, Hamilton, Rotorua and Wellington.
The NZ Blossom Art Group will be supported by performers from the NZ Chinese Traditional Culture Experience Art Centre.
This is a rare opportunity to experience performers of this calibre in the Hawkes Bay.
Tickets can be purchased through Ticketek, Napier Municipal Theatre box office and from the MTG box-office an hour prior to performance.
