Cecil Turbine and Jane McArthur Band, all the way from Melbourne, Australia, return to play darkroom with local rock legends Two Cult Bishop and No Broadcast.

Jane McArthur:
Originally from Tasmania, Melbourne-based Jane McArthur offers audiences a raw and honest experience where lyric is king and the blues got soul. Jane is widely admired for her soulful vocals, poetic writing, and bluesy undertones.

Cecil Turbine:
Raised in picturesque Queenstown, NZ and now based in Melbourne, Cecil Turbine is Pretty-Noise, as sad and absurd as it is loud. Cecil combines strange rambling lyrics, odd grooves, and indulgent dynamics that never stray too far from pop sensibilities. With loops feeding into loops Cecil creates soundscapes of complex chaos, where every listener hears different melodies within the same songs.

Two Bishop Cult
Explosive rock duo from the city of Christchurch NZ. Their sound is a tumbling wave of bluesy melodies and hammer swinging riffs.

No Broadcast (solo):
Local Christchurch band No Broadcast started life as a three-piece alternative post rock group, known for mixing atmospheric, ambient and drone qualities with rock music. After a brief break from performing, No Broadcast return to the stage in a solo capacity where accomplished guitarist Josh Braden will showcase a breed of rock nestled somewhere between aggressive and atmospheric.

Doors 9pm. Music from 9.30pm.
Koha entry (recommended $20 if you can afford it, but anything welcome!).
Drinks and food available for purchase.

We would like to extend a warm thanks to Feather Shaw + Nick Vassar and their team for their unwavering support of the Arts in Canterbury.
