Join the Friends of Hastings District Libraries for a fundraising event with speaker Catherine Strong.

Seasoned media professional Dr Strong is often in the fray calling out fake news and advocating for more transparency in government. Fake news, the spreading of false information, has become a major issue over the past years. Strong believes elected council and DHB members need to take more responsibility for ensuring the public are properly informed.

Dr Catherine Strong is Senior Lecturer School of Communication, Journalism and Marketing at Massey University.

Doors will open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.
